A curve ball was thrown at the Town of Arnprior’s aspirations to have Renfrew County pick up some of the tab to install a traffic light at the proposed reconfiguration of the Edey and Galvin intersection with Daniel Street.
County Operations Chair and McNab-Braeside Mayor Tom Peckett says at the Tuesday Operations Committee meeting members voted to put the matter on hold while the Upper Tier develops a rational policy on how it will handle growth-related expenditures.
Peckett says that, given the matter was already on the table, it made little sense to clear the deck and put the Arnprior request back on hold.
