The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is reporting another eight COVID-19 infections today. Five other people have recovered after testing positive for the virus.
The information from the RCDHU shows 57 cases have screened positive for a COVID-19 variant of concern. The detailed case summary released Monday afternoon (April 12th, 2021), shows three local residents are currently in the hospital including two in the intensive care unit.
There’s 47 active cases spread out across Renfrew County and District. The majority of local active cases are in Laurentian Valley with 12, followed by Pembroke with seven, Arnprior has six and Greater Madawaska has five. The remaining 17 cases are spread out amongst other communities in Renfrew County and District.
