The County of Renfrew is encouraging the development of Community Gardens once again this year.
Director of Social Services Laura Lepine says this is year two for the initiative, and some of what they were able to do last year has been scaled back.
The Social Services Director says while its a great plan to help with food security, and the growing space is in the great outdoors, there are still applicable protocols to follow and participants will have to clear their plans with the RCDHU.
Lepine says the application deadline is about a month away.
