Due to a significant rise in new COVID-19 cases, the Outaouais Region returns to the Red Zone designation, with a sub-set of rules applicable in Gatineau and the MRC Des Collines for the period until April 12th.
Unnecessary social contacts are not permitted and restaurant dining rooms have to close.
In the Outaouais area, with additional restrictions, we will also see an 8PM to 5AM curfew, the closure of schools and restrictions on daycare for all but the children of essential workers.
While educational daycares are open, its advised you keep your kids home while notifying the daycare of this.
Cinemas, theatres and non-essential businesses have to shutter. Those deemed necessary are encouraged to do curbside pickup for their customers.
Outdoor gatherings are limited to 8 people who are members of your contact circle, and places of worship are capped at 25 souls.
Adherence to the measures remains our best tool in the short term to get out of the critical situation in which our region finds itself, until enough people are vaccinated.
