COVID-19 cases in Renfrew County and District continue to climb.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) unit is reporting another 5 infections today related to the novel coronavirus.
To date, a total of 432 cases have been reported, 391 are considered resolved and 4 local residents have died after testing positive for the virus.
That leaves 37 active cases spread out across our region.
The last detailed case summary from the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (March 25th, 2021) showed 7 local residents are currently in hospital including 3 in the intensive care unit.
The RCDHU says one third of the cases in the last week have been confirmed to be the variant from the United Kingdom. The Renfrew County and District Health Unit reported 8 new cases Saturday, 2 new cases Sunday and another 5 today (Monday, March 29th, 2021).
