Health officials in the Outaouais Region are expressing concern that the region’s current Orange designation may be slipping away, due in part to an increase in community transmissions.
In total, more than 25 outbreaks are currently underway in the Outaouais region, which represents about 15 more outbreaks than last week.
As well, the number of daily cases has been increasing for the past four weeks, with an average of 37 cases per day over the last week.
There are now 286 active cases of Covid-19 in the region.
The Public health department is therefore asking for the utmost vigilance while Covid-19 is spreading in many areas.
Officials say we must limit non-essential social contacts as much as possible, reduce our visits to public places and strictly follow the health instructions for all of those places.
