The Ministry of Long-Term Care (MLTC) has announced its commitment to fund 32 additional long-term care beds at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior, bringing the home’s capacity to a total of 128 residents.
Arnprior Regional Health’s Chief Executive Officer Eric Hanna says Thursday’s announcement is part of the Ontario government’s $933 million investment in 80 new long-term care projects.
The current Grove site will be developed to house the newly funded 32 beds and accommodate the additional space designated for the proposed Seniors’ Village.
ARH is in the early design phases of the Seniors’ Village that will accommodate these additional 32 new beds.
Hanna say the application process took four months this time, and doesn’t believe there will be a local fundraising component required.
The new Grove building continues to target its opening for August involving accommodating 96 residents in a new, modern home.
