UPDATE:
The County of Renfrew regrets to advise the community that a resident at Miramichi Lodge has died related to COVID-19. We extend our condolences to the family of this resident as well as all the residents and staff at the Home.
No further information can be provided out of respect for the family.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) has recorded the 3rd death related to COVID-19.
The news comes as five new cases of the virus are being reported in our area today (March 11th, 2021).
At this time the local health unit has not released any further details and the last detailed case summary was released by the RCDHU on March 8th, 2021.
With a total of 380 confirmed cases, 356 considered resolved and three deaths, that leaves 21 active cases spread out across Renfrew County and District.
