Environment Canada says that intense snowfall is likely late this morning and afternoon. Locally, heavy snowfall could being a quick 5 to 10 cm. Strong winds gusting up to 60 km/h are also on the way this afternoon. Strong winds with the heavy snow to result in reduced visibilities in blowing snow and difficult travel conditions over portions of the area. The snow squall is expected to move south of the region by this evening.
