Local police have charged two people and seized cash, drugs and cell phones after a traffic stop on Highway 17.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says Friday evening (February 19th, 2021), officers stopped a vehicle in Whitewater Region.
46-year-old Billy Joe Krieger of Pembroke has been charged with trafficking methamphetamines, possession of cocaine and meth for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Krieger remains in custody with a court appearance on Wednesday (February 24th, 2021).
46-year-old Jeffrey Chassie of Chapeau, Quebec has been charged with trafficking cocaine and failure to comply with an undertaking. Chassie has been released with a court date coming up April 6th, 2021.
