The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is not reporting any new COVID-19 infections today, but two residents are currently in hospital due to the virus. No other information about the two individuals has been released.
Information shared from the local health unit this afternoon (Monday, February 8th, 2021) shows 306 confirmed cases, with 300 resolved and two deaths.
The four active cases are from the Township of Madawaska Valley and the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.
With local businesses set to reopen this week, RCDHU Acting Medical Officer of Health Doctor Robert Cushman says this does not mean we can let our guard down. He’s advising residents to stay at home unless for essential purposes, avoid social gatherings, minimize travel between areas with different rules, and limit close contacts to your household.
