The Arnprior Fire Service recruiting drive has increased the number of female volunteer firefighters by two hundred percent.
Chief Jeff Crawford says there are now three women with the team.
He outlines the process of elimination from the forty-five potential applicants that attended one of two orientation sessions held late last Fall.
While the Arnprior Fire Service is now at its full complement of volunteers, that doesn’t mean the Chief won’t be keeping his ear to the ground.
