The COVID-19 vaccination roll-out in Renfrew County is underway.
The Acting Medical Officer of Health with the Renfrew County and District Health Unit, Doctor Robert Cushman says yesterday (Jan. 26th), most of the residents at Valley Manor in Barry’s Bay were vaccinated.
Cushman says today, residents at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior are being vaccinated. He expects enough vaccines to arrive for long-term care residents at half of the homes in Renfrew County this week, with the rest coming next week.
Cushman says two long-term care homes owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke, Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew and Miramichi Lodge in Pembroke, will have COVID-19 vaccines next week.
The news was shared as part of the County of Renfrew council meeting this morning. More details will be released as they become available.
