The Killaloe OPP says two separate snowmobile collisions resulted in hospitalizations. Police say the two incidents took place on Saturday (January 23rd, 2021).
Shortly after 1pm, police responded to the collision on trail E109 in Madawaska Valley. The snowmobile operator was taken to hospital with minor injuries after striking a tree and no charges were laid.
The second snowmobile collision took place around 4:50pm on the B106E trail in the Township of South Algonquin. The operators was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after striking a tree.
No charges were laid in either incident.
Police remind operators to obey speed limit signs and road trail signs, always riding within your own ability. Reduce speeds when driving at night and watch for fences, guide wires, trees, and other objects at may be difficult to spot.
