As COVID-19 numbers across the province continue to rise, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit says that we are still in fairly good shape. However, Acting Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Cushman says we continue to get new cases everyday.
Cushman has confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak at Marianhill long-term care home in Pembroke. However, the cases do not appear to be linked.
As of today, Renfrew County and District has 31 active cases of COVID-19, all currently in self isolation with no one in hospital. Nine new cases were reported Thursday afternoon and another five this morning (January 8th, 2021).
