Laurentian Valley, Pembroke, Petawawa, and Whitewater Region are all coming together on a movement to “Light Up The Valley”.
This holiday season, residents and businesses are encouraged to decorate their homes, yards, and storefronts before November 30th.
There is no competition between participants, no registration fees, and no restrictions on who can participate.
The Light Up The Valley event is intended as a feel-good movement to instill hope and happiness this holiday season as many won’t be able to visit and participate in typical holiday traditions.
Interested participants are required to register to be added to our correspondence and to receive participating collateral and signage.
There will be no formal map released.
Anyone wanting to take in the sights is encouraged to do so by foot or car throughout the participating municipalities.
The idea was brought forward by the owner of Crazy Beautiful Dresses, Kim Chenard, who wanted to do something to uplift people and bring hope and charm this holiday season.
Chenard brought the idea to the Township of Laurentian Valley and knew it had potential to grow to be a large collaborative community effort.
Anyone interested in participating can register here.
