Update: The player was taken to hospital in an abundance of caution and is now at home resting with a soft tissue injury and no broken bones.
It was a scary scene at the Eganville arena in the matchup between the Valley Timberwolves and Whitewater Kings last night (Sunday). The developmental scrimmage was called with just over 6 minutes left in the third period after a serious injury. One of the Whitewater Kings players was hospitalized after getting tangled up on a play. Multiple trainers tended to the player who was left laying on the ice. 911 was called and the individual was taken to hospital with what appeared to be a neck injury. More details will be shared as they become available.
