The OPP continues to investigate a fatal collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian that took place this morning (October 29th) on Highway 17 outside of Cobden.
The OPP says the incident occurred between Turcotte Road and Mountain Road around 6:30am and the section of Highway 17 was reopened around 3:30pm.
Police say the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver of the motor vehicle was not injured.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation and a post mortem examination will be conducted.
The name of the deceased person is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
