The Renfrew County Catholic School Board has a new Director of Education. Mark Searson has been involved from the beginning with creating policy to protect students during the pandemic and has worked closely with outgoing Director Jaimie Perry. He tells us he feels confident moving forward.
Searson says the pandemic forces them to focus on the here and now, but he can’t help but wonder what good the future will bring.
Searson has been with the board for 19 years and steps into his new position officially in February. He adds, it is an extreme honour and very humbling to be appointed as the next Director of Education for the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board.
