Renfrew County’s Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre is expected to continue beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. County Warden Debbie Robinson says the service is crucial for many members of our community.
The Warden recognizes there’s only so many dollars to go around, but Robinson is confident the province will recognize the value VTAC brings to the area and she’s encouraging residents to share your experiences with the mobile assessment centre with Premier Doug Ford. Renfrew County VTAC was established to help control the flow at local hospitals and identify potential COVID-19 cases with minimal risk of exposure to emergency rooms. The service has been a huge asset to individuals and families without a family physician.
