UPDATE:
The province and health unit continue to report different COVID-19 case numbers into the second wave of the pandemic. Today Public Health Ontario reported a jump in five cases for a total of 75 confirmed cases, while the RCDHU only recorded two new cases for a total of 72. The RCDHU says this has been a common scenario across Ontario. The health unit says while there may be short term discrepancies, for the most part numbers should be the same. The RCDHU adds sometimes, individual’s with a positive case of COVID-19 are assigned to a geographical location based on where they were tested.
Public Health Ontario is reporting five cases of COVID-19 today in Renfrew County and District. That marks a total of 75 confirmed cases. The case information summary including locations of new cases identified by the Renfrew County and District Health Unit is expected to be released at noon. Today the province is reporting 712 cases including 108 in Ottawa with 713 cases listed as resolved.
