The visibility of members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) during Operation Impact was itself a deterrent.
The four day long weekend blitz saw police target aggressive, distracted and alcohol/drug-impaired driving as well as seat belt non-compliance.
Police say preliminary results indicate they laid 39 Speeding Charges, 2 Stunt Driving Charges and 4 Moving Violations under the Highway Traffic Act.
