The Burnstown Beach file has been put on hold until 2021.
McNab-Braeside Mayor Tom Peckett says the Township went to County of Renfrew with a couple of asks, one of which received favourable action.
The Mayor says the County will not be adjusting the speed limit on Highway 508 in the vicinity of the beach.
McNab-Braeside had wanted the 60 kilometre and hour zone extended from the beach along to the Burnstown Road intersection.
This past season, social distancing was a concern for local residents, as the Burnstown Beach facility was packed with out-of-towners looking for some respite on scorching summer weekends.
