A virtual care service delivery system is being developed to help our vulnerable populations cope with the adversities brought on by COVID-19.
Between now and March 31st of next year the Phoenix Center for Children and Families, in partnership with the Champlain Mental Health & Addictions COVID-19 Task Group is putting together the group.
While the virtual delivery is suited to the times it won’t mean much if the intended clientel don’t have a device to access the services on.
That’s where you come in.
If you have an older device you no longer use- whether its a cell phone, iPad, tablet or laptop in good working order, why not donate it to the cause?
Your donation of a device that still works but is no longer being used, will be put into the hands of a person who is needing mental health and/or addictions support during this challenging time.
The requirements for donated devices are as follow:
It must have the ability to Power On, have a Charging Cord, be unlocked (if applicable), not be blacklisted, it should have a functional screen (minor, non function limiting scratches are fine), and a functional headphone jack.
Should you be donating a smart phones, the operating system should be iOS 8.0 or newer.
An iPad should contain OS 13 or newer; an Android device should run on 5.0x or newer.
With a mac laptops it should come with macOS X and function with macOS 10.9 or newer.
A Windows laptop should run on versions 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 Home, Pro or Enterprise.
All device donations will be wiped to the highest data security standards and uploaded with all the required platforms and applications the recipient will need.
Tax receipts can be mailed regarding any donation assessed at 20 dollars or greater.
