The Killaloe OPP continues to investigate a shooting that took place in Madawaska Valley.
Police say shortly after 2:00 p.m., on Friday October 2nd, officers responded to a 911 call at a residence on Silas Lane.
Preliminary investigation has revealed the victim received the gunshot wound while walking off trail in the area of John Watson Road and Silas Lane.
A 20 year old woman from Etobicoke was airlifted to hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
At this time, police believe there is no risk to public safety. The Renfrew County Crime Unit is assisting with the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Killaloe OPP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
