The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is investigating a serious single vehicle collision.
Last night (October 4th) around 10:30pm, officers responded the crash along Whitewater Road in Laurentian Valley Township.
The OPP says a northbound pickup truck left the roadway on a curve, striking a fence and utility pole guide wires.
Officers say the vehicle rolled and the 22-year-old male driver from Petawawa was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was taken to a local hospital by land ambulance and transferred to an Ottawa-area hospital with life threatening injuries.
A 20 year old male passenger from Petawawa was not injured.
Whitewater Road was closed due to the collision until approximately 6:00am this morning (October 5th).
An OPP Technical Collision Investigator (TCI) is assisting with the investigation, which is continuing.
