Quebec is reporting 1,052 new COVID-19 cases today.
It is the first time since early May that new cases have topped 1,000 in the province hardest hit by the novel coronavirus.
The new cases bring the provincial total to 76,273.
No new deaths related to the virus were reported today in Quebec.
COVID-19 cases also continue to rise in Ontario.
Health Minister Christine Elliot says Ontario reported 732 new cases today with over 40,000 tests completed.
323 of the new cases are in Toronto and 141 in Ottawa.
There are 428 more resolved cases.
Numbers from the Renfrew County and District Health Unit will be released at noon, but Public Health Ontario is reporting 53 confirmed cases for our area.
