A Liberal Government Order-in-Council from last May expanding the list of firearms prohibited in Canada raises more questions than it answers.
That’s the rationale being made by Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant after hearing news that the Justin Turdeau appears to have shelved a tender for the buy-back program’s design.
“What the Liberals announced in May was a policy without a plan,” says Cheryl Gallant, likening the proposed outsourcing to the WE Charity debacle.
Gallant says prohibiting the firearms in question is an assault on their collector value, while criminalizing the inventory and paying out no cash in the process.
The MP plans to raise the matter in the House of Commons, and wants answers- not talking points.
