A second COVID-19 case has been confirmed at Fellowes High School in Pembroke.
The information breakdown from the local health unit shows a Petawawa resident who is employed at a school is the 40th case in Renfrew County and District.
Communications Manager with the Renfrew County District School Board, Jonathan Laderoute, says the case is linked to the case confirmed last week at Fellowes.
Laderoute adds the school remains open for students and staff and they continue to work closely with the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) to ensure that students and staff are protected.
The health unit is investigating the case and will follow up with any individual they determine to have had close contact with the infected individual.
There’s currently six active cases of COVID-19 across Renfrew County and District and all individuals are in self-isolation.
