Employees at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) have been recognized as part of the 2020 Canadian Nuclear Achievement Awards.
CNL President & CEO Joe McBrearty would like to congratulate all of the very deserving recipients.
Under the Education and Communication Award category, Philip Kompass, a current CNL employee and Alastair McIvor, a former CNL employee, were recognized for their significant efforts in improving the understanding of nuclear science and technology among educators, students and the public.
Doctor Metin Yetisir, a principle scientist and the section head of the Advanced Reactor Technology team at CNL, was appointed a Fellow of the Canadian Nuclear Society Award. This denotes extensive contributions to the Society and meritorious service to the nuclear field in Canada.
The Nuclear Achievement Awards ceremony has been cancelled for 2020, but all recipients will be invited next year where their work will be recognized.
