Arnprior Recreation has announced the gradual reopening of the Nick Smith Centre.
The Community Pool starts its reopening Monday August 17th, with a four-phase approach.
On that date, the pool will begin operating Monday through Thursday with a selection of lane,
recreational, senior and family swims.
The following Monday, August 24th, the pool will continue to operate Monday through Thursday
with the addition of Aquafit, Aqua-jogging and Excel Waterfit classes.
On Monday August 31st, the pool will operate seven days a week- increasing the availability of programming offered in the first two phases.
Staff are hoping stage four can be achieved in October, including swimming lessons and extending the hours of operations.
All pool programming must be registered for in advance through the online portal (www.arnprior.ca/recreation) or by calling the office at 613-623-7301.
Drop-ins will not be permitted.
Swimmers may book a maximum of two time slots per day, if available.
All bookings are first come, first served and will be opened every Thursday for the following week.
Residents visiting the pool will be asked to complete a self assessment, physical distance and wear a mask when not in the pool. Some facilities such as showers, lockers and pool equipment are not available for use, and change room use will been limited.
The Bert Hall Arena is scheduled to re-open on Monday, August 31- and information about other aspects of the NSC’s re-opening will be forthcoming.
