The Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RCVTAC) has assessed over 11,000 people since launching in March.
A new online tool shows a snapshot of how local municipalities have benefited from the healthcare service.
Doctor Jonathan Fitzsimon, the Clinical Coordinator for RCVTAC says their mission is to ensure everyone in Renfrew County and South Algonquin have timely access to primary care assessments and COVID-19 testing.
The online dashboard includes the total number of assessments, number of visits, in home assessments by community paramedics, COVID tests completed, a breakdown of location, calls by time frame, swabs used and referral sources.
The dashboard was developed by a team from Algonquin College at the Pembroke Campus.
Professor and Project Lead at Algonquin College, Sadie Barnett, says faculty and an alumnus from our Computer Systems Technician program and the Health and Community Studies department collaborated with the RCVTAC team to develop the dashboard.
RCVTAC has completed 7,334 virtual assessments, 3,674 in home assessments with 10,186 COVID-19 tests. Almost half those tests came in the month of June with 4,617 swabs completed.
