Lanark County OPP is hoping for some video footage to help with their homicide investigation from Carleton Place last week. Under the direction from the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, police are looking for potential video from the public in relation to the case. On Wednesday around 4 am of last week, the OPP was called to a motel on Highway 7 where a male had suffered serious injuries in an assault. The 57-year old male victim was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. Shortly before 1:00 pm the same day, members with the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit and OPP Emergency Response Team arrested 30-year-old Shane Sabourin without incident. Anyone who can help with the investigation is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
