When you look at the U18’s as part of a three-year process to get to the World Juniors, the lack of a formalized program this year makes sense in context.
Nonetheless, Renfrew native and coach of the Owen Sound Attack in the Ontario Hockey League, Alan Letang, is delighted to have been named an Assistant Coach for this year’s U18 program.
Letang says the forty participants for this year’s program are being finalized.
Originally this year’s preparatory tournament was to have been held in Alberta, but the program, such as it is, will be delivered by webinar and ZOOM sessions.
Alan says this year’s activities are more in the line of character-building, to maintain the integrity of the Hockey Canada development cycle.
