Residents in Ontario can fish for free this weekend (June 20th-21st). Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, John Yakabuski, is encouraging everyone to enjoy the great outdoors. Yakabuski adds being outside is the safest place you can be during the global pandemic.
The Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry says this is the second free fishing event of the year and he expects more people to be out this weekend for Father’s Day as COVID-19 restrictions start to ease up.
Yakabuski adds they will also have a free fishing week from July 4th to 12th. Residents are encouraged to continue practicing physical distancing and check for local restrictions.
