Renfrew County’s Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre has expanded its service area.
Karen Simpson, Administrative Assistant for RC VTAC says the approximately 1,100 residents in South Algonquin typically access emergency care at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay, an RC VTAC partner hospital, so the tie-in is an obvious one.
Simpson says the Renfrew County and District Health Unit’s territory is inclusive of South Algonquin Township, and our local paramedics have made the necessary arrangements.
COVID test swabbing will be done by the two-member Family Health Team in Whitney.
