The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is asking residents to wear masks when physical distancing is not possible.
Acting Medical Officer of Health, Doctor Robert Cushman, says it’s particularly important to wear a mask if you cannot observe the 2-metre rule.
One example is wearing a mask in grocery stores or when you must come into close contact with others.
The RCDHU says reports show between 50%-75% of those with COVID-19 have no symptoms or mild symptoms and they add it’s important that we continue to act as anyone could transmit the infection.
