Great News at the Grove in Arnprior!
The Grove’s provincially directed enhanced COVID-19 surveillance has come back negative.
Last week, under the guidance of the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU), a total of 79 staff members and 56 residents were swabbed by Arnprior Regional Health’s (ARH) Infection Prevention and Control Team, and the Occupational Health and Safety Team.
The Grove Nursing Home was categorized as low risk and as a result, the enhanced testing was implemented locally on May 6 and May 7.
The swabs were processed by the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association.
CEO Eric Hanna notes that the COVID-19 risk, however, remains high and it is imperative that we stay the course.
The Grove Nursing Home will not make any changes to the existing restrictions and preventative measures that are in place.
This includes the no visitor policy, active screening at the entrance, universal masking for staff, enhanced cleaning and sanitation practices, and physical distancing and reduced group sizes for resident activities.
Thank you to families for your understanding and cooperation.
