Even though the province reported 83 new COVID-19 deaths today, Quebec Premier Francois Legault has announced a plan to gradually restart its economy as of Monday (May 4th).
That’s when stores with their own entrances in communities outside the Montreal area can open.
Construction will resume and manufacturing will start ramping up.
Legault says while the number of deaths have risen in long-term care homes, deaths remain largely stable in the province.
