The count of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Outaouais Region now stands at 229.
Those who have recovered are 128 persons.
Outaouais now has its own lab to analyse test results.
It is located at Gatineau Hospital and came online Tuesday.
The lab’s current capacity is ten tests per day, but more equipment is on order.
Specimens unable to be processed locally continue to be sent to designated labs across Quebec.
Seniors’ residences continue to be a cause for concern.
The Lionel-Edmond home is reporting two new cases for a total of 11 confirmed, while la Petite-Nation’s number remains steady at seven.
They are the only two homes presently reporting an outbreak.
