Despite leading the country in the number of declared COVID-19 cases, Quebec is keeping one eye on recovery.
The government of Quebec has established a process to expedite the job market when it comes to that.
Businesses that are listed as among priority services and activities are being invited to submit information on their urgent labour needs.
These will be parsed and posted in a new section of the website Québec.ca.
Oficials say it’s a temporary quick fix to help employers with recruiting any necessary new employees.
A more comprehensive, permanent platform will be unveiled in the next few weeks.
It will replace the current placement system available on the website of Emploi-Québec, which is being overhauled to keep up with demand.
At Québec.ca. job offers are posted by region and can also be searched by keyword.
This service is available to priority businesses in the food industry, trucking businesses and pharmacies.
