There will be no Shawville Lions Country Jamboree this year. The 2020 event is postponed until July of next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The local Lions Club says the decision was heart-wrenching but it was a smart call to make. The Lions Club states the health and safety of all attendees, entertainers and volunteers is their number one priority. The Quebec Government recommends all outdoor events and festivals be cancelled until the end of August of this year.
