Due to the global health crisis, one of the Ottawa Valley’s largest summer fairs has been cancelled for this year. The board of directors for the Shawville Fair announced over the long weekend the cancellation of the 2020 edition. Charleen Moore, President of the fair stated that the move was not made lightly but simply the directors doing their part to keep everyone safe during the outbreak of COVID-19. Moore ends her statement saying she looks forward to seeing everyone in 2021. At this point, no other fairs in the Ottawa Valley have been cancelled.
