While COVID-19 cases in Outaouais continue to rise, as residents break for the Easter long weekend there’s good news.
The Public Health Department is bolstering staff to cope with the crisis.
More than 140 people are in the process of being hired for a variety of nursing positions, service assistants and security guards.
A reserve corps of 400 people have been identified from those who volunteered to help out on an occasional basis.
The Outaouais Public health Department notes there have been no outbreaks in long-term care facilities under its jurisdiction to date.
The number of reported cases now stands at 131.
