Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack has taken to preparing a weekly message for residents and those in the Town’s business community.
The Mayor reassures us that the Town of Arnprior continues to maintain all essential services.
Garbage collection continues according to its normal schedule, but the per-household bag limit is increased from two bags to four.
The Landfill remains closed to the public.
Stack says in the past week the Town has had to barricade or tape over the entrance to all of its outdoor recreation facilities by Provincial Order.
As well, the MNRF has declared a Province-wide Restricted Fire Zone, and this means an outdoor burn ban on fires of all types.
The Mayor gives a shout out to the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RC VTAC) which can facilitate COVID testing for those without a family doctor. Access it at rcvtac.ca
He thanks all essential workers who maintain our supply chain and services, encourages everyone one to buy local and commends those he’s seen practising physical distancing.
And on a personal note, Stack says that If you need something picked up or an errand run please do not hesitate to call him at 613-218-2157 and he will arrange for assistance.
