The OPP has intercepted nearly $6000 worth of illegal drugs, destined for Renfrew.
On Sunday (April 5th), as part of an ongoing investigation, members of the Street Crime Unit and officers from the Renfrew OPP Detachment stopped a vehicle in Renfrew.
Police seized nearly 60-grams of suspected cocaine. Officers also seized a 2011 pick-up truck.
As a result of the investigation 62-year-old Ricky Dorval Wickens of Horton Township and 30-year-old Kassandra Mary Brisson of Renfrew were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Both of the accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on June 3rd.
