The Rotary Club is a community leader in generousity. Local clubs donated more than 10 000 dollars in gift cards to County of Renfrew Ontario Works to help local families during the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative was the brainchild of Gerhard Peters of the Arnprior club, but money comes from clubs across the district. James Brose, Chair of the Social Services Committee of Renfrew County extends his sincere thanks and says these funds comes at a time when they will be most needed. Brose adds the number of families in need of assistance right now is growing and they’re grateful for all of the help we receive. There are gift cards for groceries, gas and supplies from a variety of businesses. This is isn’t the first time Rotarians have helped out, they donated more than 3000 dollars in gift cards last spring to help flood victims.
