Ontario is reporting 426 new COVID-19 cases today, the largest number so far, including four new deaths. It represents a nearly 22 percent increase and brings the provincial total to 2,392. That includes 37 deaths and 689 cases that have been resolved. In Renfrew County, the number of cases remains at 5 with one death. To date, more than 57,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the province. There are no specific treatments for the virus and there is no vaccine that protects against it. Symptoms of the virus, which can include fever, cough, and shortness of breath, are similar to other respiratory infections.
