The first death related to COVID-19 has hit Renfrew County. Earlier this morning, the Renfrew County District Health Unit reported that a 90 year old patient passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital. The acting medical officer with the health unit is extending condolences to the family and friends. The health unit says it’s important to remember physical distancing, wash hands frequently, stay home and avoid unnecessary travel. If you feel you may have COVID-19, you can use the self screening tool at Ontario.ca and call the health unit.
