The OPP has arrested a 34-year-old from Pembroke following an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Beachburg.
According to police a masked person with an edged weapon entered the pharmacy around 10:30am this morning (March 28th) and made off with a quantity of prescription drugs. The individual left the scene with a vehicle that was stolen on Friday (March 27th) from a residence on Mountainview Drive in Laurentian Valley Township.
The OPP located the suspect on Hennessy Trail in Whitewater Region. Following a foot chase on Rapid Road the individual was arrested around 7:30 pm.
Charges are pending in relation to this case. More information will be released as it becomes available.
